From “Stars Galaxy” to my Blog: 21 years writing stories

Starting to Write 21 Years ago

Three days ago I made 21 years since I began my journey as a writer. At the tender age of 15, I embarked on the adventure of putting my ideas on paper. It was 24th June 2003, a day that would be forever etched in my memory. While Real Madrid was winning its twenty-ninth La Liga title, I was writing the first chapter of what would become a personal saga. That 15-year-old, perhaps not fully aware of the significance of his words, was starting a literary journey that would endure over the years. It wasn’t solely my idea; after watching a TV show that would eventually cease to exist, I began writing weekly what would later become known as the Stars Galaxy saga.

Fulfilling the dream of starting a blog

The years went by and I continued writing. First, after walking the Camino de Santiago in 2006, I would write the diary of each day I walked. Three years later, with my veterinary studies underway, I travelled to Calcutta to fulfil another of my dreams: to work as a volunteer in Mother Teresa’s Congregation. After that intense month of work and great spiritual and personal experiences, I was also able to capture it all in a book. And a couple of years later, I did an Erasmus Internship in Finland. Yes, you were right, I also have my Diary of a Young Veterinarian in Finland.

Today, 21 years after that first chapter, it fills me with emotion to see how that youthful dream has endured over time, even to the point of having started my own blog. Less than a year has passed since I ventured into this new way of sharing my thoughts, ideas and stories with the world. Each entry is a reminder of the road travelled and a new step towards the future I longed for more than two decades ago.

Dear reader. Thanks to you, this can also be possible.

For many years to come!
