Veterinarian in the UK: 11 years of excitement and personal growth

When thinking about the future, what are you most excited about?

>>

Translated:

<<He ran, they never taught him to walk

He went after pale lights

She fled from mirages and hours too many.

Airports, some come, others go

Just like Alice without a city

The courage to leave, the fear of arriving>>

So begins one of my favourite songs by my favourite band: Copenhage by Vetusta Morla. A Spanish band that, apart from knowing the song before embarking on my British adventure 12 years ago, has accompanied me for a good part of all these years, especially in this, my second stage in the UK, since 7 October 2018, when I picked up my bags again and boarded a plane that would return me to the country that recognised me as a Veterinarian and has provided me with a broad professional career.

So, when I look at the WordPress mobile app, I see the question I’m asking just below the title of this post: When thinking about the future, what are you most excited about? And then, as I look to what is yet to come, I remember the path that has brought me here, from that moment when I looked forward to the first job I had ever had in my professional career, and what the future would hold for me in a country I had not even visited before.

So I can’t help but think that what excites me most is that I am where I am meant to be. With the friends I should be with, in the job I should be in, and with the family I should have, supporting me at all times regardless of the distance. Because that is the most important thing, the excitement.

So I look at this coincidence, which is none other than another God-incidence. That this question appears in the mobile app/website where I write my blog, my memories, exactly today, four days after 11 years living in these lands (10 June 2012 to 10 September 2017, first stage; and 7 October 2018 to 7 July 2024, second stage). Simply wonderful. And what lies ahead.

The near Future.

Indeed, what is coming and not in many days is an England vs Spain in an Euros final. The final I always wanted, and that maybe not many would like. I don’t say divided heart, because I am Spanish, but obviously, England has given me a lot in all these years. So the most important thing is that, winning whoever is winning, I will be happy. Wearing two T-shirts at the time of the match? Who knows. Or maybe none and both at home. I still need to think about. What I can say is that the Future is bright, and I will be here to tell to all of you.

Because the Life would be Wonderful.
