Comenzaba este año con un propósito principal (publicaré un post en referencia a todos los propósitos de este 2024 muy pronto, pero hoy teníamos que mencionarlo también): escribir más en mi blog. ¡Y vaya si lo he logrado! Sin ninguna duda, 2024 ha sido un año inolvidable…

No os quiero aburrir con datos, pero uno de los que más me ha sorprendido es a los países que ha llegado este blog. Ayer miraba por mera curiosidad, y ¡han sido hasta 81 países! España es desde donde más veces se han leído mis posts, como no podía ser de otro modo, por el país del que provengo y la lengua en que escribo este blog, aparte del inglés, que se fue asentando a mediados de agosto, cuando ya más que un propósito se convirtió en una gustosa obligación.

Por ello, los dos siguientes países en la lista de mayor visualizaciones han sido Reino Unido y Estados Unidos. Muy de cerca está India y alrededor del centenar de lecturas están Egipto y Chile (por encima de los 100) y Argentina, México, Japón y Canadá (muy cerca del centenar pero aún por debajo de esa cifra).

Luego ya siguen otros numerosos países de todos los continentes entre los que me ha sorprendido Mauritania, Tanzania, Uganda, Bangladés, Sri Lanka y hasta Sudan del Sur, algunos de los mismos recién llegados al blog. A todos ellos, muchísimas gracias. Las tablas estadísticas no me enseñan si los que me leen son nativos de esos países o gente que me suele leer desde sus países de origen y en ese momento están de vacaciones, pero igualmente, por una u otra razón, totalmente agradecido 😃.

Como mencionaba anteriormente, en agosto comencé a escribir en ambos idiomas, inglés y castellano (español) en el mismo post, lo cual me facilitó llegar más lejos más rápidamente, de eso estoy seguro. De hecho, ya por el mes de mayo, y en consecuencia del Curso de Marca Personal que estuve realizando en esas fechas, comencé a escribir un par de entradas a la semana, una en castellano, a inicios de la misma, y otra en inglés, a mediados o finales de ella. Fue una forma de asegurarme un par de posts semanales, llegar a un mayor público y, en cierta manera, de no tener que escribir sobre dos temas diferentes al ser el mismo transcrito en dos idiomas diferentes.

Luego eso cambio pronto, como todos sabéis ya, y la mayor creatividad nacida en pleno verano me hizo, no solo escribir en ambos idiomas en un mismo post cada siete días, sino escribir más de dos, de tres o de cuatro entradas en una misma semana. Hasta ocho días consecutivos llegué a escribir en el mes de agosto, cuando esa tendencia cambió, con lo cual, no solo varió, hacia arriba, la gráfica de escritura, sino que las visualizaciones, likes, comentarios y suscripciones incrementaron de forma notable, dato que se retro-alimentó para seguir escribiendo y, en consecuencia, seguir ganando adeptos y valoraciones positivas. A día de hoy, ya sois 111 las personas que recibís un email cada vez que publico algo nuevo en mi sitio, y no puedo dejar de estar más agradecido, especialmente de las personas que sois fieles seguidores con vuestra lectura, likes y, muchas de las veces, añadiendo un comentario, incluso, en las primeras horas o días tras la publicación de cada entrada. ¡A tod@s, gracias! Si esa cifra (de suscriptores) me la hubieran dicho en mayo, cuando comencé a escribir más asiduamente, le hubiera dicho que qué clase de alcohol o droga (permítanme la redundancia 🙊) estaba tomando 😆.

Y por supuesto, no podía terminar este escrito de hoy valorando las entradas más vistas y leídas en este maravilloso 2024. Paseos por Córdoba // Walking through Córdoba no es solo la entrada con más likes (54, a día de hoy) en todo el año, sino que también supera el centenar de visualizaciones/lecturas (105).

Tantas y tantas historias, tantos y tantos datos, y al final lo que nos ha unido de verdad en este blog han sido las canciones y sus significados. No era una idea premeditada, pero El significado de las canciones es una sección que ha venido para quedarse y, por qué no, podremos establecer un día a la semana, al mes, o la frecuencia que queramos para tener un día de referencia con la música. Pero eso ya es contenido para otro post, el de los propósitos para el próximo año, que saldrá muy pronto a lo largo de esta semana que comienza mañana (o ya ha comenzado, para los que me estéis leyendo en lunes, posiblemente, bastantes 🤓). Así que yo os dejo ya por hoy y nos seguimos leyendo y escribiendo muy pronto.

I started this year with one main target (I will write a post about all the targets achieved in this 2024 very soon, but today we had to mention it too): to write more in my blog. And there you go: I have succeeded! Without any doubt, 2024 has been an unforgettable year….

I don’t want to bore you with data analysis, but one of the things that has surprised me the most is the number of countries this blog has reached. Yesterday, I looked just out of curiosity, and there have been up to 81 countries! Spain is the country from where my posts have been read the most, as it could not be otherwise, because of the country I am coming from and the language in which I write this blog, apart from English, which was settling in mid-August, when more than a purpose became a pleasant obligation.

Therefore, the next two countries in the list of most views have been the United Kingdom and the United States. Close behind is India, followed by Egypt and Chile (over 100 readings) and Argentina, Mexico, Japan and Canada (very close to 100 but still below that figure).

Then follow numerous other countries from all continents among which I was surprised by Mauritania, Tanzania, Uganda, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and even South Sudan, some of them very recent newcomers to the blog. To all of them, thank you very much. The statistics tables don’t show me if those who read me are natives of those countries or people who usually read me from their home countries and at that time are on vacation, but equally, for one reason or another, very appreciated 😃.

As I mentioned before, in August I started writing in both languages, English and Spanish in the same post, which made it easier for me to reach further faster, of that I’m sure. In fact, already in May, and as a consequence of the Personal Branding Course I was studying at that time, I started to write a couple of posts a week, one in Spanish, at the beginning of the week, and another in English, in the middle or end of the week. It was a way to ensure a couple of weekly posts, to reach a wider audience and, in a way, to avoid having to write about two different topics as the same one was transcribed in two different languages.

Then, that soon changed, as you all know, and the greater creativity born in the middle of summer made me not only write in both languages in the same post every seven days, but write more than two, three or four entries in the same week. I wrote up to eight consecutive days in the month of August, when this trend changed, so not only did the writing graph change upwards, but also the views, likes, comments and subscriptions increased significantly, a fact that was fed back to continue writing and, consequently, to continue gaining followers and positive ratings. As of today, there are already 111 people who receive an email every time I post something new on my site, and I can not help but be more grateful, especially to the people who are loyal followers with your reading, likes and, many times, adding a comment, even in the first hours or days after the posting of each entry. To all of you, thank you! If that number (of subscribers) had been told to me in May, when I started writing more assiduously, I would have told him what kind of alcohol or drug (allow me the redundancy 🙊) he was taking 😆.

And of course, I couldn’t finish today’s writing by valuing the most viewed and read posts in this wonderful 2024. Paseos por Cordoba // Walking through Cordoba is not only the post with more likes (54, as of today) in the whole year, but also more than a hundred views/reads (105).

Many and many stories, many and many statistics, and in the end what has really united us in this blog have been the songs and their meanings. It was not a premeditated idea, but The Meaning of the Songs is a section that has come to stay and, why not, we can pick a day a week, a month, or the frequency we would like to have a day of reference with music. But that’s content for another post, the one about the targets for next year, which will come out very soon during this week that starts tomorrow (or has already begun, for those of you who are reading me on Monday, possibly, quite a few 🤓). So I’ll leave you for today and we’ll keep reading and writing to each other very soon.
